Sony not here for fans, it's here for all players.
And given current circumstances - market shifting to gaas and Sony spreading to non-core genres, old-school core fans bound to get less attention. But it's life, deal with it.

That's why Nintendo has my trust, more than any other company. They have always done their own thing without looking at the "market" or whatever they think makes the most money. The haven't changed course in game making philosophy since day 1.

Sony is doing a bad job. The reception to their State of Play shows are continuously bad and all they do is put themselves before the players. You. But sure, be a cuck and suck it up.

There definitely is a bias towards PlayStation here but it's not blind fanboyism for the most part IMO.

Here's the thing my dude, Microsoft fucked up big time with the Xbox One and they haven't recovered from that. There is multiple reasons why people just don't care about Xbox hardware anymore:

• Again, the terrible XBO launch
• Xbox Play Anywhere which means that Xbox literally has no exclusives. NONE. Sony at minimum has timed exclusives, while every single Xbox game comes out on PC day 1. This to me is what actually killed the brand more then anything else.
• PC is bigger then it's ever been as it's currently the "it" thing with the younger generation. They see their favorite Youtubers and Twitch streamers play on PC and they want to play on PC. This combined with the last point just means why buy a Xbox if you already have something that will play every single Xbox game?
• Xbox exclusives are all bought for the most part. I do think them going around trying to buy every big company they can definitely hurt their image especially with how Microsoft is viewed from a monopoly standpoint both past and present.
• While Sony has bought some studios, they still have a lot of homegrown studios and IPs.
• Xbox has basically given up, and this is evident with stuff like Forza Horizon which is one of their biggest IPs releasing on PS5. Halo and Gears can't be that far behind.

I don't like the direction PlayStation has been going lately, but it's a much better product overall. I say that as a longtime PlayStation and Xbox fan.

Nintendo is by far the most future proof gaming company in the history of the medium. Has by far the best IP's and the most loyal fanbase and respect from industry and fans alike. They don't give a flying F about being on your list. They are extremely healthy.

Nintendo has always made money, even when they had failures. They know exactly what they're doing and they don't need your advice or list in any capacity.

Unless you count Astro Bot, Stellar Blade, FFVII Rebirth, Helldivers 2, Black Myth Wukong, all multi-platform third-party games and Microsoft first-party games. Those don't count though because Concord.

Not even...it's brand power, sony is the apple of gaming, people (casuals) buy because its the popular "safe" brand or default you can say, this gen is literally a perfect example of that when you look at the lineups

Xbox would need a literal exclusive madden, 2k, fortnight, or cod to recover, but as long as both consoles can play these games ps will always sell more by default.

The way it got like that was Xbox was shit for many many years before a few AA games finally started trickling out last year and at the same time they are going multiplat so even those games aren't a temptation as they have hope of seeing PS5. They aren't really noteworthy games though. Starfield.....Hellblade 2......Indy(their only mainstream game that is pretty good). All fine to skip them and nothing will be lost. Games not to skip like BG3 and SH2 and Wukong were not on Xbox day 1 so it is really no surprise why they continue to sell poorly. They lost the console war but it is because they lost many battles not necessary because of their current triage strategy. Too much is currently stacked against them after years of failure after failure, disappointment after disappointment. Last gen was a travesty for Xbox and Xbox games. This gen is better but the market no longer cares.

Thanks for asking. Was waiting for it. Here we go. And, facts only:

Xbox has advantages over PlayStation. Here are a few:



- day 1 Microsoft games

- backwards compatibility with 2 generations with much improved graphics

- Much better app support and developer mode

- you can use it as a Media Center (Kodi, VLC). This is not possible on PS

- Internet Browser

- Better Deals on the Store compared to PlayStation if you're a GamePass subscriber.

- Xbox Cloud Gaming works great. I play my Series X games in the bedroom on my Xbox One S without any real lag.

- If you like the above you can also get Microsoft Rewards to make your GamePass subscription cheaper.



I play more on Xbox at the moment because I have a huge backlog and most older games simply run and look much better on Xbox. Xbox has VRR with backwards compatibility and A LOT of older games are locked 30 on PS5, while they are 60 and upscaled and filtered on Xbox. Big win if you like older games.



If Sony's backwards compatibility will be as bad with PS6 as it is now, I will buy a new Xbox for sure.
