Actually being more of the same makes me excited. I’m so used to the switch that any new gimmicks just feels unnecessary at this point. Just give me the good games with higher fidelity (and a framerate that i cant just count on two of my hands…)Doesn’t look very exciting does it…
The image? Bigger is better imho but other than that looks pretty iterative.Doesn’t look very exciting does it…
i do. this is being fabd on Samsung right? they havent seen the demand/price increase that TSMC hasI don't believe the specs. It would be too expensive in a post Moore's law world. Especially for a company like Nintendo that needs to profit off the hardware.
Grain of salt..
Good luck playing Switch 2 games on Switch 1.already have a Switch OLED. Don't need another.
The second screen is your mirrorKnowing Nintendo, the second screen is on your smartphone.
That's why I don't need another Switch OLED.Good luck playing Switch 2 game on Switch 1.
I think this is supposed to be a comparison between the normal switch at the bottom, and the new one at the top

The joycon rails are completely different and theres an image of the the railings.IT's almost verbatim the Switch OLED. Obviously fake.
Noob question but will DLSS apply on handheld mode too? I really want Xenoblade/Botw/ToTk /SMTV to look really good on handheld mode with stable frameratesPS4 in Handheld mode, PS4 Pro in Docked mode
but with modern GPU features like Raytracing and DLSS.
DLSS has the potential to get it visually close to PS5 in select games when docked. as DLSS can easily upsample from 1080p to 4K and look close to native 4K in games like Doom Eternal for example.
I said it in another thread already, but a Doom Eternal port on the Switch 2 legitimately has the potential to look superior to the PS5 and Series X versions, as even running the game at 900p internally and then upsampling it to 1800p through DLSS gives you better image quality than the dynamic 4K mode on PS5/SX
rails are similar enough. not completely different. And images are from a person into 3d printing. The joycon rails are completely different and theres an image of the the railings.
On top of that with all the other leaks over the last year, we knew the switch 2 was going to be exactly that: a switch 2
So seems legit to me
Both modes I suppose, but the internal resolution will be half what docked will do. Say, DLSS quality is 1440p when doing 4K but it's only 720p when doing 1080p. The screen is 1080p, just in case.Noob question but will DLSS apply on handheld mode too? I really want Xenoblade/Botw/ToTk /SMTV to look really good on handheld mode with stable framerates
It's a prototype from October 2023, it's not literally gonna look 1/1 like that. lolrails are similar enough. not completely different. And images are from a person into 3d printing.
that being said...it isn't like we don't know already that the Switch 2 is going to look like the Switch for the most part.
this looks too verbatim to me tho.
Too much work to fake, i think is 100% real. The joycon rails are completely different and theres an image of the the railings.

more reason it's bs then. It's a prototype from October 2023, it's not literally gonna look like that. lol
Quoted for the futureIT's almost verbatim the Switch OLED. Obviously fake.
I did the sameQuoted for the future

also someone just said it is from 2023. if that's true ...i'm already right.Quoted for the future
...? Dude, do you have the slightest idea of how long designing a console takes? It's not gonna be significantly different, but it's not gonna be 1/1 to the OLED. What's so hard to get?also someone just said it is from 2023. if that's true ...i'm already right.
I wouldn't necessarily call that proofalso someone just said it is from 2023. if that's true ...i'm already right.
the problem is i do and you don't...? Dude, do you have the slightest idea of how long designing a console takes? It's not gonna be significantly different, but it's not gonna be 1/1. What's so hard to get?
Agreed. Plus a leak from a Chinese distribution center was how we got our first details of the switch lite iircToo much work to fake, i think is 100% real.
SD cards exist, are thankfully not that expensive anymore, and are fast enough these days to not be an issue.
I think they heavily rely on users bringing their own storage to keep the system price low.
also they still are big on retail versions, which will save you storage
Ignored.the problem is i do and you don't
ignore people that disagree with you. live in a bubble. $200/night. YOu have a new business.Ignored.
I could see them updating their HD rumble to be on par with Duelsense.Wasn’t it rumored that the pro controller for the switch one would also still be the same pro controller for the switch 2? Or do you guys think there will be a pro controller 2?
I frankly find it exciting and surprising that Nintendo is actually releasing an iterative console. The Switch is a winning formula, and I’m glad they’re not trying to reinvent the wheel. So, all Playstations and Xboxes are basically the same thing but Nintendo does one iterative console one and it's suddenly unexciting?
I wouldn't necessarily call that proof
You are going to have a great time on this forum (and the internet for that matter) if that's how you operatesomeone saying it's a year old only makes me more skeptical. better?
YOu'll fit right in with the avg internet goer. You are going to have a great time on this forum (and the internet for that matter) if that's how you operate
I’m not a big fan of Nintendo’s other modern gimmicks — Wiimote, WiiUPad, 3 Headache Dual Screen — so iterating on the Switch is 100% fine by me.I frankly find it exciting and surprising that Nintendo is actually releasing an iterative console. Buy the nPhone or Nintendo TV today!Knowing Nintendo, the second screen is on your smartphone.
Nintendo haters are something else here, they always find a way to attack Nintendo, I can’t wait to see comparisons between SW2 games with current gen consoles, if DLSS works as expected is going to be a lot of fun here, good times ahead .So, all Playstations and Xboxes are basically the same thing but Nintendo does one iterative console one and it's suddenly unexciting? I don't get it. If this had some crazy feature thrown in the same people complaining now would just say it's gimmicky lol
If anything I find it assuring and refreshing that I don't have to worry about Nintendo's wanting to feel special and revolutionize videogame input again.
WRONG.TV only??
We are talking about a handheld with a video out here
Nah, DLSS is good but aint magic. Current Gen consoles are still going to be on a different ballpark. But that also come with benefits. And games are going to look really good still. They can play a good hand I think.Nintendo haters are something else here, they always find a way to attack Nintendo, I can’t wait to see comparisons between SW2 games with current gen consoles, if DLSS works as expected is going to be a lot of fun here, good times ahead .
Doubt it, if we are to continue using FSR trash I can see the pendulum swinging back...Nah, DLSS is good but aint magic. Current Gen consoles are still going to be on a different ballpark. An SD Card will not give you 2500 MBs of read speeds. I don't think you understand this is not standard flash memory in the Switch 2.
