I like Elon Musk but I don't know if having pronouns is going to full out kill a western game. It's to be expected nowadays and I expect in any Western game that has a character creator because it's just a sad fact now and it's not going away.
I probably more miffed if it appear in a Japanese game though.

It's not "killing art" but it is silly. The idea that some game set in a fantasy realm would have pronouns that just so happen to align with the developers' social media feed is ridiculous. It's forced. There's absolutely no doubt about that.
You guys think that people that identify as literal cats and dragons is just bullshit that will go away? That's what people thought about "they, them" in the beginning. At what fucking point do we draw the line because the absurdity isn't stopping where it is now. The cat people will absolutely demand they're identified as those things and we will have to follow the rules. Wait and see. In the woke culture absolute absurdity is only 6 months from reality.

The pronouns are just the tip of the iceberg. The woke stuff in Avowed won’t end there. It’s going to be all over the game, sometimes subtly but it’s there.
It’s safe to say that injecting entertainment with identity politics is sure fire way to kill enthusiasm your product. Now every time Avowed is mentioned people will be talking about the pronouns. RIP.

The point of fantasy is kind of "anything goes, it's fantasy" but when you see "he/him" on a screen it's like a big smack of asinine reality stuffed in your fantasy game like an expanding virus. People turn to fantasy to get away from the stress of doing things like navigating DEI rules in real life.

I haven't, but Outer Worlds had a ton of other issues that made me dislike it, and I think this current game is going to have more important issues that won't get nearly has much attention as this. For example, it's a game claiming to be 30fps to push graphics while looking worse than most games at 60 that aren't.

I'm surprised that anyone has the energy for this. I personally am never going to choose the "They/Them" option for my character, but if it makes someone else happy to be able to move that slider over one notch, it makes no difference to my enjoyment of the game.

Woke isn't the inclusion of gay or trans people. Woke means forced inclusion with an agenda to push an ideological point of view (identity politics).
People get this confused all the time. Just because a game has gay or trans characters or a black female lead doesn't make it "woke." Woke is about forced, ham-fisted ideologically driven nonsense that noticeably affects the quality of the story, characters, and dialog.
