Well as far as I know, mainline Forzas aren't huge sellers either.

No, not necessarily. The Destiny bundles for XB1 counted I think, since they were packed in from retailers unlike the official PS4 bundle.
So we just know XB1 Standalone + Bundle pack-ins > PS4 Standalone

I was really surprised that Destiny sold better on XBO until I realized that bundles weren't included and the fact that MS had that promotion for a free game which you have to assume most people bought Destiny with.
I wonder if this was their plan all along.

5 days as NPD runs until Oct 5th I believe.
They really don't have much to gloat on. The most they can do is make a PR statement about the retail Destiny sales and that's pretty much it.
It would be pretty foolish of them to talk about momentum now. Right after Sony sold over 500k PS4's

About 5 for some of the more core offerings. Early days, small sample, etc, but it's been a dramatic shift. Really messing up a bunch of stuff because there's really no usable competitive data on digital.
Surely that advantage would be neutralized by the massive install base advantage ps4 has, no?

PS4 tripled its August. I assume September is usually a bigger month than Augutst, but by how much? Could give a clue on how many units that Destiny bundle pushed.

That would be 460k worldwide, though.
They could at the very least say that they did better than last month.
Since Sony didn't mention anything about outselling it, maby over.......400K!!!!????

The only data I've seen about digital sales were Ubisofts numbers which put it at ~10%.
