The pro performance mode now has hardly better fps compared to base PS5 perfomance mode.
Newer versions with up to date SDK's should hopefully improve the situation. Not to be overblown but there seem to be some issues with specific implementations currently, no need to deny it. It can be argued that Sony were not quite ready for launch for their algorithm. I miss the days where consoles were consoles not freaking lite PCs in dire need of of continual updates for things to work as intended. So seems PSSR has issues with ray-tracing?
Give it sometime , it just released two weeks ago ffsBut somebody here told me that PSSR was better than DLSS

I miss the days when console devs actually still did QA of their updates.I miss the days where consoles were consoles not freaking lite PCs in dire need of of continual updates for things to work as intended.

5090 cost 2000Finish the sentence
It released just two weeks ago and it costs 900$
Wasn't the argument that the SSD + I/O system in PS5 was designed to minimize the required RAM for loading assets?Brought to you by the "secret SSD sauce that beats even the most high-end PCs in terms of performance" gang.
PSSR costs 900$? Wow, you guys in the US got the shaft. I paid 800 euros and my PSSR even came with a console and stuff.Finish the sentence

They should change their name to Blooper, am I right!?Seems like they introduced pro support without a single person in the team actually playing the first 5 minutes to see it was broken and now they just backpedaled by completely removing PSSR. What a well thought-out update process they have over there at Bloober. Performance also seems about the same as the base PS5 with no major visual enhancements for the pro so I have no idea what the hell they are doing, but it's not like they know either.
Well, there is no any logic, just pcmr clowns being petty.Am I wrong for feeling like there's more than a whiff of gate-keeping/protectionism about the way that PSSR not being perfect is being highlighted?
As if other forms of upscaling don't have their issues also, and that somehow PSSR is making previously "flawless" IQ worse.
Also...
Sorry, but I don't buy the idea that all these devs are doing the work to implement the new system and ignoring the fact that its making things worse. I mean, its not like they are being mandated to use the tech. So if the problems are so severe or striking, why would they bother when they don't have to?
It makes no logical sense.
Digital Foundry confirmed that PSSR was removed in the performance mode. It is around 1008p upscaled via TSR.GamingTech is straight up lying here. They did not remove PSSR. They just increased the base resolution to mitigate the issues. You can see there is a performance hit on PS5 Pro that runs even worse than the original PS5 version.
It has issues with the whole software based Lumen suite. So seems PSSR has issues with ray-tracing?
? Not sure if /s It's $699 in the US.PSSR costs 900$? Wow, you guys in the US got the shaft. I paid 800 euros and my PSSR even came with a console and stuff.

It is time to jump in Vick
Back to FSR 1.0
You are spot on, unsurprisingly..Am I wrong for feeling like there's more than a whiff of gate-keeping/protectionism about the way that PSSR not being perfect is being highlighted?

Good. The Pro patch wasn't ready. How did Blooper not see that?
I'm shocked PSSR isn't perfect..
On a game that was filled with all kinds of IQ issues and ghosting with DLSS and displayed the same AO flickering using hardware lumen..
PSSR isn't perfect, but Thread is unnecessarily the shitshow.
You are spot on, unsurprisingly..
The tweet sounded awfully like "yup, game fixed, yay!" so I wouldn't be shocked if this was it. I hope not but good lord. The game is entirely too good, and good-looking, to get such lousy treatment.
