A DC IP didn't fit their strategic priority? Interesting...

I hope the gods will punish WB Games for this.
WB patented(not copyrighted) the method by which they accomplished what we know as the nemesis system. Anyone is free to create their own to get a similar feature. What they'll get in trouble for is if they somehow use the exact same method as WB.Not without paying WB.
It's copyrighted.
GTA style in terms of massive titles that can sell 20 plus million. If you're a AAA studio that can't reliably sell 10 plus million, you're cooked.Huh? Which games are Gta style
That's really weird. Because yeah, who wanted a Wonder Woman game? Lmao. It had a dark cloud over it from the start. I'm sure Wonder Woman has some fans, but she's such a meh and niche character. They could've done so many more interesting female super heroes. Or, they could've just done another Batman game and made everyone happy, lol.I got several push back saying the game was doomed from the start in another thread, welp
Yeah, that's the big thing. I have no idea why Suicide Squad and Wonder Woman were the choices they decided to go with, then to make them the kind of games they were/going to be. It's pretty damn baffling. It just feels like they want to waste money and time.Fuckin hate Warner Brothers. Forced Monolith to make a garbage Wonder Woman game that no one asked. Forced Roxksteady to make a garbage Suicide Squad game that no one asked for.
Fire the person in charge of these decisions.
What is wrong with "y'all"? Isn't that just a southern way of saying "you all"?The "y'all" is always a dead giveaway.

I need Injustice 3 before NetherRealm pays for WB's bad juju.
According to some of these mentally distinguished gentlemen you cant say yall or your wokeWhat is wrong with "y'all"? Isn't that just a southern way of saying "you all"?

Seems like DEI mania + switching to full remote work during COVID + COVID hiring/spending bubble + chasing “winner take all” live service trends + generally ballooning game budgets/timelines all played a part.American game dev lost everything. Hope we can rise again from the ashes down the road.

I have never heard of this being some culture warrior thing. I live close enough to the south and have been hearing people say it all my life that it is a normal enough word to me. A bit weird to me that west coast people would latch on to a southern word, being that they hate southern people.Because when garden variety, non southern white people say it to a group (in order to purposely avoid saying "you guys" as if they're going to potentially offend someone in the room) it comes across as awkward, unnatural and forced.
To me anyway. I purposely go out of my way to never say it. Just cringey as fuck overall.

I remember in college back in 2016 a college professor chastised me for saying "you guys". This happened in Kansas where you guys probably originated from!I have never heard of this being some culture warrior thing. Fuck those yankees. The only thing they're good for is driving up the property taxes.I have never heard of this being some culture warrior thing. kinda similar to 'folks'. real down-home warm & friendly. will never forget this one:Because when garden variety, non southern white people say it to a group (in order to purposely avoid saying "you guys" as if they're going to potentially offend someone in the room) it comes across as awkward, unnatural and forced.

WB only patented "1+1=2" not "10-8=2" or "4:2=2", or any of the other infinite pathways towards the same goal.Ouch, that could have been an interesting game. Even a bigger shame as wb has patented the nemesis system and wonder woman seemed to be the only game on the horizon that was going to use it. Some patents just shouldn't exist
Sadly, I’m not hopeful. Not with how current management is being ran by most. But I think we are due a lot more closures before things could start turning around.American game dev lost everything. Hope we can rise again from the ashes down the road.
Probably seemed like a good idea back in 2017 when the first Wonder Woman movie came out and this game started development.I still wonder who wanted a Wonder Woman game.
I bet WB just wants to preserve the Rocksteady name for when they get back into the Batman business. Basically all the classic studios still existing do so only in name. The pub can slap those t-shirts on any devs they want. I think it's important gaming fans start learning the names in the credits so we can follow the artists we like. Studio name means nothing anymore.Damn shame about Monolith, but being in development hell for so long while the gaming division of WB is losing money from every hole, I guess it was to be expected.
I'm actually surprised Rocksteady is still around, I guess they already had layoffs and most of the old guard left the studio before SS was released.
Eh, I think it’s totally acceptable in corporate environment to an extent because if you say “you guys” that would be sexist.Because when garden variety, non southern white people say it to a group (in order to purposely avoid saying "you guys" as if they're going to potentially offend someone in the room) it comes across as awkward, unnatural and forced.
