I played Oblivion after Skyrim and whilst I could appreciate what it was, setting the foundation for what was to follow, man were the graphics dog crap.

Myth. A large portion of their games are announced within a year or two from release.

I think so yeah, tho it wouldn't be available on consoles, and it could have a lot more bells and whistles than skyblivion as it'll be on either the latest creation engine or even the first crack at ue5…makes sense to try and remaster/replicate an existing game in ue5 first before jumping into an entirely new game

Game was slated to release in 2022 (?) by Bethesda's own roadmap that was leaked by a MS lawyer.

The remake must have has been in development for over 6 years at this point but probably longer.

I don't know about this. Elder Scrolls game without mods and having to deal with "pure Bethesda" is a big ask. I have yet to play a game of theirs where I could live without mods and I have been playing Elder Scrolls since Arena days .

Sure, but it's also kinda not new .. it's an enhanced remake-ster.

Thing is Todd and Bethesda will never remake NV since they won't admit that Obsidian outdid them with barely any dev time.
