There are NEW Switch 2 previews up on YouTube channel GVG. Extensive preview and hands on footage of MP and Cyberpunk. Nintendo Life as well. They had a secret preview.

Can't wait!

Cyberpunk is actually looking pretty impressive on here!
Yeah, it does look decent from the off-screen footage.

CDPR said there will be two modes: performance @40fps and graphics @30fps.
Pretty solid, tbh.

Curious to see an actual analysis and full specs for Switch 2.

40fps? Really? That's great. Where did you hear this?

In the GVG preview video there's footage of Soul Calibur and F-Zero running in widescreen (hiding the ugly NSO borders). Seems like it's only possible if the game originally supported widescreen. The game seems higher res as well.

Interesting to hear that the Cyberpunk port has only been in development for about two months and they got that far. CDPR are damn good at what they do.

Unless you're really into Steam why on earth would anyone buy a SteamDeck when this is available?
You've answered your own question.

I love my Steam Deck to bits, and Steam still gives you access to tens of thousands of games at a far more reasonable price.

But the Switch 2 gives you Nintendo games.

but its barley powerful than the PS4 some gaffer told me

And they weren't wrong.

Do you really not realize how impressive PS4 tier GPU power in a handheld is?

Unless you're really into Steam why on earth would anyone buy a SteamDeck when this is available?

- Significantly cheaper games
- more third party games
- emulation
- Desktop/Productivity use

I will be preordering a Switch 2 as soon as humanly possible, but there are many reasons why some would prefer or buy a PC handheld.

I think these guys have done a hell of a better job at selling the S2 than Nintendo did in the Direct. 7 week old Cyberpunk build????

I'm more impressed with Split Fiction, the game just came out (not like the other ports), is one of the highlights of the year, and will already be on Switch 2

Not gonna lie Metroid Prime 4 looks like a remastered (or even emulated) Switch 1 title

I mean...that's basically what it is. It's still launching on the Switch 1, they are just using the extra power on the Switch 2 to push better framerates and resolutions and maybe increase some settings here and there.

It's no different than God of War Ragnarok or Forbidden West.

Switch 1 has 15000 games.
Oh come on. The vast majority are trash shovelware. If we count that, PC gets hundreds of games every day.

It's pointless to argue why would someone buy one over the other when they offer such vastly different libraries. I'll own both.

I didn't mean it in a serious way.

The first playthrough is going to be 120fps, and then 4k for capturing every beautiful scenery in MP4.
Yeah,
Even as a Switch 1 game it looks basic af with meh art direction.
I'm a big MP fan but I have to say I Havnt loved what I've seen from the art direction. Hopefully, this is just the first area of the game and not indicative of what's to come in later stages of the game.
