Probably, yeah lol.

A handheld with (digital) Xbox 360 backwards compatibility would see me through for any travel or business trip forever.

Depends on the price, the power/hardware and if Xbox All Access is a no brainer or not (=cheap).
The only IPs i would miss are Forza (Motorsport and Horizon) and Halo. Besides of these is it likely that MS bring the rest to a PS5/PS6.

I like the name. XBP. Easy.

I'll wait and see what the system is. If its a high end, console-like user interface, open store device that has my previous library, hell yeah. Will weigh pros and cons of that vs PC on cost, user interface, library.

I never bought a Series X and never regretted it. Spencer was right, now I have my library on PS5 and plan on staying there.

Yes. I've enjoyed each of their consoles. And I love the underdog.

And why ask this on a forums that's obviously Sony biased 🙄?

wtf is an Xbox prime ?

Also, not buying any console that has its games on PC. Including the PS6. Unless I give up pc gaming then of course I'll buy both systems .

I don't mind waiting 1 year to get a superior version of games I want. Plenty of games to play I don't have time to finish anything anyway

For me the equation is very simple:

Does your piece of hardware have games that I want to play and aren't available anywhere else? If so then yes I will buy your console.

Unless XBox Prime can provide a potential benefit that doesn't exist on the PS5, the Inevitable PS6, or, my high performant PC… Likely not.

I'm willing to be be swayed though…

Yeah for gamepass, and for my backlog and friends. But My steam libabry is getting up there, so ideally I just need a box that has both my accounts on it.

Yes with three caveats:

1. They come out with a controller redesign like what was leaked around last year. Love the shape and comfort of the XB controller but hate how all the buttons are clicky and loud and how the face buttons are uncomfortable to press.

2. MS' proprietary upscaler is at or near DLSS3 levels of quality. I have a Pro and PSSR has been middling so far. Also, the jump over the Pro's performance has to be super noticeable.

3. Costs around $600-700 WITH a disc drive. Still don't have a disc drive for my Pro and it's been super annoying.

Looks at title.....

*Paging SonyGaf*

Bots Assemble.

Over half of voters so far have dismissed a product before literally anything about it has been announced.

Did Phil fuck your wife's/husbands or something?

Bad Evil M$?

Genuinely curious as to why you are so dismissive.

Surely "I would need more information" would be the way forward for any non Xbox fan?

Let's say it's a 5090 at heart for 599. 50% of you already dismissed the idea because it's Xbox

Nope. Nor the PS6. Both my Series X and PS5 are gathering dust.
Start dropping hits regularly and then I'll reconsider

I supported MS consoles since the OG Xbox.

After the last two generations, and the shit show it's been with MS support and the like, I'm pulling the plug on MS support for good.

This generation's lack of support and the stupidity of Gamepass has been enough for me with MS products, especially now that everything's going to get ported over to the Playstation anyway. Absolutely no point in supporting MS gaming products any longer. Only thing I will give MS is the Series X is a very well made piece of hardware. Too bad they didn't think software mattered yet again. Either way, one less console to have to make purchases for which pleases me.

The Xbox brand is dead to me. I wouldn't even touch any sort of Xbox service on PC.
PC Game Pass is probably the only successful thing they've done.
Microsoft will kill off the Xbox brand, and go back to making great stuff on PC again. Full fucking circle.

No, but I will not sell my Xbox Series X either.

Perhaps, Switch 2 will become my next platform. I feel I've missed too many games from Nintendo since early 90s.

That depends.

Yes... If it's a next gen console that will have games that won't be playable on the Series S.

Othewise... No. I don't care if it's a portable or a stronger console, all I care about are new games on gamepass.

No. I didn't bother with the Series console, doubt I'll bother with the next lot. The Ones were the nail in the coffin for me. I loved the OG and especially the 360.

No. I bought a Series X for the few games that are better on there than on any other platform (a lot of which is stuff that's just broken on PC), and even then... it's mostly just been Xbox One BC.

It made sense to get it for those games when the Series X was super discounted last year. Given that everything's multiplatform on Xbox now, though... I don't really see any reason to. They've been an also-ran platform for me for more than 15 years now, so I'm not particularly hesitant to drop them entirely.
