Amazon Prime is an ingrained brand, both as a streaming channel and shopping - so much so, that people say "it's on prime". There is no way Microsoft will call their next console that.

ps. but if it's noticeably more powerful than the Pro, then i'll get one - why not!

Normally I'd just say 'no' to a new Xbox, but if the speculation turns out to be true and it's a cloud-related hardware, then the answer would be HELL NAW.

PC Game Pass is probably the only successful thing they've done.
Microsoft will kill off the Xbox brand, and go back to making great stuff on PC again. Full fucking circle.

I don't subscribe to any pass by Microsoft after they screwed me with GFLW service, and I have enough game in my Steam alone to fulfill my gaming needs.

Obvious answer is need more information, but the console warring on here is just sad.
Console warring? I'm not falling for Xbox marketing again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
I've spent a lot of money on their ecosystem and it's just not good enough.

Yes, absolutely. Phil still hasn't been given a fair chance and just like other Xbox fanboys, i really do like getting fucked in the ass constantly and being treated like a bitch.

I'll never buy another console that is tethered to a TV. Features or maker be damned. (Of course if my dream game* comes to fruition on some random Apple Arcade Pro or something then I reserve the right to renege on this ideal)

*Super Street Fighter 3

No. I don't have much of an investment in the Xbox console ecosystem and just about everything going forward is on PC. So for me, a new Xbox console would be largely redundant.

If Xbox would sell a $200 Portal-like streaming device with a $10/month streaming only GamePass sub, I'd buy and sub.

Other than that, nope. Not interested.

It all depends... if PlayStation 6 doesn't have a physical media option, I'll just go with the next Xbox since I'm already digital on Xbox. If PlayStation 6 does have a physical media option then I'll choose that platform.

One things for sure though, I'm absolutely NOT buying both systems next gen. Just one.

Could I tempt you in a machine that is the premiere place to play GTA 6?

<forum title / question>

Wow, that question wasn't leading in any way was it? :messenger_tears_of_joy: You may have well just have written the title as "Please vote no in my poll"

I've purchased every Xbox, but I'm done. With everything going all-digital, spending money on Xbox is just a poor investment. Everything will be on PS5/PS6 and PC anyway, platforms that aren't in immediate danger of disappearing.

Since anything can be an Xbox, I assume that it will be nothing more than a pre-built PC with Xbox branding... so no!

But even if it is actually a real console, in the style of an Xbox or Playstation, no, because all the games are available on the PC anyway and it seems that they will also be available on the Playstation and the Switch (2?). In this respect, a Prime Xbox will never be able to draw on the technical level that the name is supposed to suggest.

I don't see the need. I have XSX for BC stuff and for what games I have for One and Series consoles. Plus occasional month of GamePass.

The rest I play on PC side including PC handhelds as well as Switch. That's going to be it for me I think aside from getting Switch 2.

I don't even think I will get a PS6 considering the current Pro disk drive BS.

I think I'm done getting into new generation. Unless there are few good surprise I couldn't let go, like Ninja Gaiden for instance or a new Castlevania.

Otherwise I'm not quite motivated anymore.

What a weirdly biased topic. Fucking hell. You guys really want to see Xbox exit the console business and let Sony become the arrogant market leader deciding on prices of subs, hardware and games.

Weird.

I'll buy a new Xbox if it has cool games, otherwise I'm good. The Series X/S has nothing to offer me in all fairness.

Not expecting it but can't rule it out, either. If they do another 180, go full exclusive and stop this third party publisher shit, maybe even drop Steam support on that thing they'd definitely get my attention.

I really like Series S as my last Xbox. I just want a small low power box that plays 360 and One games for posterity and I already have it. Switch 2 is a lock, if I ever get a console-console again it'll be a PS and I'm not even excited for that right now. Xbox in distant third.

Yes sir im in, I dont understand this false news of Xbox failure either ? All I have experianced is win win win, and extreme power only the chosen can withstand 🟢💪.

I buy everything.

But if they would evolve their PC strategy so I could play all the Xbox games I own on PC I wouldn't need any console. Would be cool with an official solution to rip old disc games into digital copies.

The only good thing if this title was true would be no next gen console this year. Typical MS messing with the cycle though all because they're getting spanked. Last gen the series S shit show now their next gen offering Will basically be a Pro-Pro.

To answer your question I won't touch anything Xbox with a barge pole. Xbox Prime subscribe to our new Xbox Prime Tier for just 30 euro a month.

Series X is both my 1st and last Xbox machine.

The only real value I got out of it was enhanced backcompat, which is an occasional benefit that the Series X already does very well.

So my answer is No. I feel burned by my purchase already.

Depends. Is it much more powerful than a PS5 Pro and has new software to boot like Elder Scrolls 6? Then yes. If it's garbage with no software, then no.

Same goes for everyone who loves games.

Nope, not diving into a dying eco system.
Will play their games on other consoles as they release.

Series X is my last. Now if you told me they had exclusives I cant play elsewhere, id still have it as a side piece. Releasing in 2026 means they are releasing mid cycle- im good. By that point PS6 wouldn't be too far out.

Gamepass keeps me on Xbox. Nothing else. I don't own many games.

Nothing on PS5 makes me feel like I'm missing out.

I'd buy a PS5... but even my kids only want to play Fortnite and Roblox... so even they don't care if we have one or not.
