Nintendo Direct Announced For April 2, 2025 - 6AM PT, 9AM ET, 2PM UK, 3PM CEST

I'm expecting to see a few switch 2 games, especially considering there is the switch 2 roadshow starting this Fri for next two months , be pretty stupid to have switch 2 units to play one but only switch 1 games running on it
I expect all to be new Switch 2 games with MP4 the only possible exception.

Remasters not going to excite at launch.

Things I want to know:
-Price
-Release date
-Any fps boosts to NS1 games?
-Launch titles

And if they throw in a Zelda 64 remake… I will bust the fattest nut.

It might be Nintendo trolling us again and this time going more into a deep dive into the Hardware and Spec with games being a no show

If that happens it would be funny to watch but I think if they do that than the Switch 2 Games Direct will be at least 1 to 2 weeks away

I might be wrong though and they might show us a couple of games both first and third party. It just them not giving how long the Switch 2 Direct is, is kinda suspect for me. I hope it's at least under two hours since they have alot to show us

We are a little over 24 hours away.

Where the fuck is the hype train, because I need a ticket!

Oh yes, watch Nintendo drop a tweet today how it won't be about any games at all. 🤭

please switch 2 versions of the pokemon games, at least ZA.

I bet they will have some highlight reel where they show the games that get enhanced modes. maybe they'll have some icons on screen for each like "enhaced performance" and "enhanced visuals" whenever applicable.
and maybe they will show 1 game as an example, which could be Zelda (due to its status) or it could be the datamined supposed pro mode of Xenoblade X.

for Pokenon, maybe there will actually even be a native port, since it's releasing late into the year.

Nintendo is in a very different spot than the switch 1 reveal. They have been loading up for this.
You're wrong. Nintendo will never do such a long presentation. They have a diverse audience with diverse attention span.

I don't disagree, but I think that's a point towards it being shorter rather than longer. They're in a muuuuch more comfortable position this time.

This thing is going to fly off the shelves no matter if they reveal 6 first party games or 3 first party games here. Especially with Mario Kart 9 being a potential launch day game.

The 3rd party presence will likely be a lot bigger than during the Switch (1) presentation as well.

It's crazy how invested some people seem to be with this.

I mean, the unveilings of new consoles have always been the biggest events in video gaming and this is the unveiling of the successor to what is currently the third best-selling console of all time and what will probably eventually be the best-selling, so, yes, people are going to be excited.

It's crazy how people still think Nintendo is not the best developer of video games in the world.

Can't argue against this.

Nintendo are leagues above any other developer in the business.

It's part of the reason I wish they'd take over Gamefreak and give that stuido a kick up the ass.

Just interested in Metroid Prime 4 release date. It could be soon -ish.

I could see them tying it to the Switch 2 launch in some way. either directly on launch day, or in a way that fills out an empty spot in their schedule for the Switch 2. like a month after launch or something like that

I really want to see breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom get 60fps patches for this thing.

Let the new software cook as long as needed and those will do for launch.

Mario kart doesn't really do it for me tbh but I wonder what else they have planned for launch

Literally perhaps the only major gaming event this month I'm fully looking forward to. Almost 60 minutes, too.

As usual, "leakers/insiders" whatever trying to drown out the hype and kill the mood with info that's likely outdated and could've been shared earlier but conveniently withheld until the Direct to put out, but it's been easy enough to ignore 'em. I think I'll keep doing that going forward; we shouldn't let our gaming discourse be dictated by a small clique of people with mostly dubious connects.

Personally, I'm expecting more Mario Kart 9, Metroid Prime 4, and potentially a new 3D Mario plus Final Fantasy IX Remake to show up tomorrow.
