I wouldn’t say it is a bad game, but certainly a mixed bag for sure. The pandering is extremely obvious and some of the dialog is extremely cringe inducing. Bizarre how it got the scores that it did.

In the first one spidey is too chummy chummy with the cops.

I felt that the game was significantly worse than the first. It was also the buggiest first party skny game I've ever played.

THIS! And the game has been out a while not but the number of times spider clipped into a building or something that shouldn’t have done and was stuck, leaving me to reload or restart the game? Hundreds, if not thousands by the time all the side missions and crap had been done, and no one mentions this…
Went back to the first Spider-Man on ps5 pro and have to say these must be engine issues as clipping through objects and getting stuck happens here too, shoddy

to be fair, that's been the MCU since Avengers Endgame, either black or women.

Like I said before, this game is woke as hell, it has so much dumb shit in it, but for some reason I really enjoy it. I'm not one of those people who says that "thing I like isnt actually woke", yea its woke and I like it. I think if you like the first you should at least play this one. The new venom stuff is cool and they did a really good job with expanding the city. It's no worse of a sequel than say Arkham Knight which a lot of people had a lot of problems with.
